PUBLIC NOTICE
In accordance with requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation as set forth in the Title 49 C.F.R. 26, as amended, the Town of Cary, GoCary hereby notifies the public that it is recommending the following Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for applicable professional services, construction and procurement contracts during the Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs) 2021 – 2023, beginning October 1, 2020 and ending September 30, 2023. The overall total goal for FFYs 2021 – 2023 to the Federal Transit Administration is 3.74%.

As a recipient of US Department of Transportation (USDOT) FTA funds, the Town is seeking public participation from all interested parties to assist in establishing DBE utilization goals for FFY 2021 – 2023. Individuals or groups with information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and ways to establish a level playing field and fair participation for DBEs are encouraged to provide information and comments on the goals for 30 days from the date of this notice.
A webinar will be hosted for those wishing to provide public comment. Hard copies of the DBE Goal and Methodology may be obtained from GoCary bus drivers or upon request to the DBE Liaison Officer.
Comments on the DBE goal will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this publication and can be presented during the webinar or sent to the following:
