Event: Taste of China
The Town of Cary will host the Taste of China Festival on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Buses on GoCary Routes 5, 6, and the Downtown Loop will be detoured, and the following stops will be closed in downtown Cary:
- Stop 11092 – South Academy Street at Charlie Gaddy Lane
- Stop 11228 – South Academy Street at Downtown Cary Park
- Stop 1365 – South Academy Street at Chatham Street
Route 5 buses will utilize temporary stops on Dry Avenue at Academy Street (bi-directional)
Route 6 buses will utilize Stop 11502 – South Walker Street at Downtown Park, and a temporary bus stops on South Walker Street at East Park Street
Downtown Loop buses will utilize temporary stops on Dry Avenue at Academy Street (bi-directional)
Route 9 - Apex-Cary
Date: Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2
Time: All Day
Event: Old Apex Road Waterline Reinforcement Project
Due to the Old Apex Road Waterline Reinforcement Project, Route 9 – Apex-Cary will not serve the following bus stop:
- 11757 Old Apex Road at SW Maynard Road
Also, construction of bus stops with IDs 11757, 11756, and 11702 along Old Apex Road will be completed in the coming weeks.
Route 1 - Crossroads

Event: Road Work on Tryon Manor Drive
Due to scheduled road construction along Tryon Manor Drive, the following bus stops will be temporarily closed through Friday, December 5:
• Stop ID 11437 – Macedonia Lake Dr at Centrum at Crossroads
• Stop ID 11435 – Tryon Manor Dr at Speight Branch Greenway
A temporary bus stop will be installed at the roundabout on Crossroads Manor Court.
