Ticket Assistance Program (TAP)

The Ticket Assistant Program (TAP) was originally established to provide financial assistance to GoCary Door to Door customers with limited income.  In previous years, we extended this benefit to our Fixed Route customers as well.  Since our Fixed Route service will continue to be fare free through June 30, 2022, the FY22 Ticket Assistance Program is open to eligible Door to Door customers only. Cary residents who receive Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or SNAP benefits are eligible to apply. Completed applications, including verification of residency and Medicaid, SSI, or SNAP benefits, must be submitted no later than June 25th to be eligible for assistance beginning July 1st.  Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed for eligibility and available budget.  Annual disbursements may be prorated based on the approval date.
