Door to Door Overview
GoCary Door to Door is a paratransit service for individuals with disabilities that prevent them from using Fixed Route service, or for Cary residents age 60 and older. GoCary Door to Door is a shared ride, reservation-based service, not a taxi service. If you are interested in registering for this service, please review our How to Apply section.
GoCary Door to Door Service
Tier 1
Complementary paratransit service for trips within 3/4 mile of any GoCary fixed route. This service is available to anyone with a disability that prevents them from using fixed route service, or for any Cary resident age 60 and older.
Cost: $2.50 Currently Free
Tier 2*
Trips with an origin or destination outside of the 3/4 mile fixed route boundary, but still within Cary town limits. This is a premium service available to Cary residents that have a disability which prevents them from using fixed route service, or for any Cary resident age 60 and older.

Tier 3*
Trips with an origin within Cary town limits, but a destination in another community. Trips are limited to medical and employment trips only. This is a premium service available to Cary residents that have a disability which prevents them from using fixed route service, or for any Cary resident age 60 and older.

*Tier 2 and Tier 3 trips will be made on a space available basis.
If you require a Personal Care Attendant (PCA), you must note this on your application. PCAs ride for free.
Companion reservations may be made on a space available basis. Companion fares will follow the tiered structure.
Customers must be ready 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time and up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. Tier 3 return trips to Cary will have a 60-minute window for pick-ups due to the distance of the trip.
