GoCary is excited to share that bus fares will remain suspended until June 30, 2024. GoCary initially suspended fares in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 and during that time implemented social distancing measures.
The Town of Cary has made the decision to exclude fare revenue from the budget for fiscal year 2024, which commences on July 1, 2023, and concludes on June 30, 2024. This commitment ensures that riders can continue to enjoy fare-free bus travel during this period.
GoCary continues to provide safe, clean, reliable, and efficient transit service by responding to changing needs and focusing on service as our highest priority.
We invite you to take advantage of our Free GoCary transit system to travel around town. Whether it is for fun or business, one of our eight GoCary bus routes will take you there. Our buses are air-conditioned and have an ADA-accessible ramp, and they run every half-hour.
