The temperature in Wake County continues to be dangerously high. Wake County will open temporary cooling stations to help residents stay cool.
Regional Centers and Health and Human Services Centers
Monday, July 28 – Wednesday, July 30, 8:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
The Western Regional Center is located at 111 James Jackson Ave., Cary, NC. The building can be accessed by bus taking Route 7 from Cary Depot and getting off the bus at the bus stop on James Jackson Ave at NW Maynard Rd. (Stop ID 11295). Cross James Jackson Ave. at the crosswalk and walk north on James Jackson Ave and it is the second building on the left.

Wake County Public Libraries
Cary Regional Library is located at 315 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27511 and can be accessed by bus taking GoCary Routes 5 or 6 from Cary Depot. You can get off the bus at the first bus stop in Downtown Cary, at S Academy St and Charlie Gaddy Ln, and walk across the park to the Cary Regional Library. Cary Regional Library hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday – Saturday, and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
All Wake County public libraries are available Monday, July 28 – Wednesday, July 30. Closing times for libraries vary, so visitors should check online or call their local library for site-specific information.
