Civil Rights Programs

The Town of Cary, GoCary (GoCary) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, its service on the basis of race, color or national origin as provided under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. In addition to Title VI, GoCary also prohibits discrimination based on sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other protected classes enumerated in federal and state laws.  Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice regarding GoCary's programs has a right to file a formal complaint with the Town of Cary's Title VI Coordinator within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged occurence.  You can review our complaint procedures here.

GoCary is committed to promoting the full and fair participation of all potentially affected populations in transportation decision making; preventing denial, reduction, or delay in benefits related to programs and activities affecting minority and low-income populations; and providing meaningful access to GoCary services, programs, and activities by persons with limited English proficiency.
