A new Wake Transit public outreach web platform at WakeTransit.org was launched this month!  On the Public Notices page, you will find links to active and upcoming engagement activities. Follow each to review planning activities and weigh in on various projects related to Wake Transit Plan implementation.

Kickoff of Three Public Comment Periods

Three engagement efforts kicked off on September 5th:

1.  Draft 2035 Wake Transit Plan – After 18-months of planning that included ongoing public participation, the draft 2035 Wake Transit Plan is ready for final review. This plan outlines how funds will be spent over the next 10-years (2026-2035) to improve and expand Wake County’s transit network. View the plan maps and other support materials through October 5th.

2.  FY26 Q2 Wake Transit Work Plan Amendment Review – Three (3) Work Plan amendment requests have been submitted. Two from GoTriangle and one from Wake County. See the details and provide feedback through October 5, 2025.

3.  Draft Operations Security Funding Policy – The community has continuously requested enhanced safety and security at transit facilities. In response, the TPAC requested the development of a policy that provides a framework for funding the hiring of safety and security personnel. The draft policy is available for review through September 21,2025.
